Adam started in 1996 as a Server Administrator/Operator for a large multinational pensions company after passing his HND in Computing and Artificially Intelligent Systems with distinctions. He then joined Data Sciences (bought out by IBM shortly afterwards) and worked in various guises on large projects for clients such as Marks & Spencer, Nissan UK, Citroën UK and Reed Exhibitions.
In 1999 Adam joined the IBM Airport Solutions Centre and Team Lead the Manchester Airport roll-out of the IBM Airports Management Systems AOMIS, moving on from this to be Technical Leader of further upgrade projects and eventually Support & Development Team Manager for a team managing the systems in Heathrow, Stansted, Dublin, Manchester, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Southampton.
Joining BAA as a Business Analyst and Airports systems specialist in 2003, Adam has further honed his knowledge of Airport Operational Systems with involvement in many projects for BAA including Terminal 5, Replacement Heathrow Control Tower Integration, group-wide AODB upgrades, Automated Public Address, Flight Information Displays, and Operational & Strategic Planning for Check In and Stands. His last role with BAA was as IT Development Manager for Terminal 2A, developing and managing the requirements set for operational systems across the terminal, working with a diverse set of stakeholders located around the globe.
Adam joined Firstco in June 2009 as the Design & Delivery Manager for the Gatwick North Terminal Landside Redevelopment Project managing the on-site Firstco team, working with directly with Construction, M&E, Architectural, Airline and Airport Business stakeholders. Adam has since worked with BAA on the Terminal 2 project as a Technical lead for Terminal Operational Systems, with WS Atkins on the design of the AODB. Common Use and Control Centre for the new terminal development in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and with Birmingham Airport on the design of their replacement Baggage Reconciliation, Common Use and AODB systems.
Adam is an ISEB Certified Business Analyst; is married with a son, when time allows he is a keen runner, cyclist and climber.
