
After graduating from Aristotle University of Thessalonica (Greece) with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Hons), Alkis went on to obtain an MSc History of Science, Technology and Medicine (First Class Hons) from Imperial College of London.
Alkis joined Firstco as a graduate engineer in January 2006 and since then has worked on a number of large infrastructure projects, such as the extension of the Heathrow Express service to Terminal 5, the new T2A terminal at Heathrow and the Victoria Line for the London Underground Cooling the Tube Program (CTP). He has extensive experience in systems design and PLC/SCADA programing within the rail and airport environments.
Alkis is currently working as design, test and commissioning engineer for the A1 Center decommissioning project at Heathrow. This involves the relocation and re-engineering of critical airport control and monitor systems, in advance of Heathrow Eastern Campus development program activities.
Alkis is member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and is working towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
