Bill has been employed within the Systems Controls industry for over 25 years, the last 18 of which have been in Senior Management roles. As a founding partner, and now Managing Director of Firstco Bill has taken a pivotal role in building one of the country's leading independent Controls and Communications Systems companies. As an engineer who "came up from the tools" he has a broad range of technical knowledge, skills and experience which is complemented with strong management and commercial skills.
Prior to starting Firstco he worked with major controls manufacturer TAC whom he joined as a Junior Engineer after completing an electrical apprenticeship with ICI. During his time at TAC he held a number of senior positions eventually becoming the Systems Division Manager of the UK subsidiary.
He is passionate about promoting engineering as a career, and as Managing Director has been instrumental in ensuring that Firstco actively promote the industry through links with local schools, colleges and universities and the IET.
