Firstco support Adsyst Automation Ltd in development of RTAP SCADA for Thames Water
06 January 2011
Adsyst Automation Ltd are a large, well known, system integrator partner who specialise in the water and waste industry.
The Thames Water Beckton Desalination Plant has been constructed to extract water from the River Thames and turn it into drinking water, easing the risk of water restrictions in times of drought.
This is the UK's first desalination plant, and the world's first 4 stage Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant.
Firstco were pleased to be selected by Adsyst to provide a specialist top-up resource to assist with the RTAP SCADA element of this multi-million pound project.
This involved assisting the Adsyst team in configuring a test system, developing the database configuration and supporting Adsyst engineers through the creation of graphics and the final integration of the project into the London Area Wide RTAP SCADA application.
Adsyst commented that for this type of specialist RTAP top-up resource, Firstco were a natural partner to work with, having performed well on their previous RTAP SCADA projects at Hampton Advanced Water Treatment Works.
