Firstco Improve PA System at Heathrow Express

Heathrow Express were looking to increase the sound quality of their public
address systems at their two original stations, Heathrow Central
and Terminal 4. Between the end of October and early December Firstco
have been carrying out improvement works to enhance these PA systems,
which also work as emergency voice alarms, by identifying any existing
issues and proposing new solutions.
Following the identification of existing issues, the following work has been carried out:
- Surveying the background noise levels.
- Upgrading the microphones.
- Installation of feedback destroyers.
- Re-setup of the volume levels across the stations using the information from the background noise level survey.
The improved system further enhances the class-leading experience enjoyed by the Heathrow Express customers.
