Firstco have been the systems support contractors to Heathrow Express since 2002.
This includes full maintenance and support of the station systems.
24 hour support is provided 365 days a year to ensure the continued
smooth running of the Heathrow Express service. Firstco has worked to
ensure that the service has continued to operate and there has been the
minimum of revenue lost due to downtime. Much of the critical work has
been carried out during unsociable hours.
As Firstco installed and designed many of the station systems, the
knowledge of the operation and required maintenance of these systems has
been kept up-to-date and has been easily passed throughout the
engineering teams involved.
The relationship Firstco has developed with Heathrow Express as a client
has meant that a high level of trust has developed. This extends
throughout the company and includes the station operators who use the
systems. The expertise Firstco has in consultancy often enables a more
holistic approach and makes identifying problems and potential solutions
