Heathrow Express Wayfinding Case Study

Heathrow Central station was recently fitted with new signage in order to simplify wayfinding within the station. Firstco’s brief was to:

  • Design, deliver and install the electronic signage to complement the fixed signage.
  • Provide specialist systems input for the communications and control system required for the electronic signage.

This included the installation of new, simplified Train Information Displays (TIDS). Firstco also facilitated the provision of all relevant information for the TIDS including Network rail service information and the current time which is updated by GPS.
